On 11th March 2025, the college proudly celebrated the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution with a series of engaging events, including a Quiz Competition and a Poster Making Competition. The program was meticulously organized by the Department of Political Science, led by Prof. Arifat Jan, under the inspiring leadership of the worthy principal, Prof. Safia Khalil.
The event commenced with a heartfelt welcome address delivered by Prof. Arifat Jan, who eloquently introduced the theme and provided valuable insights into the significance of the Indian Constitution. She highlighted its historical importance, core values, and the guiding principles that shape the nation’s democratic framework.
The quiz competition was conducted with great enthusiasm, with thought-provoking questions curated and presented by Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmad. The questions tested students' knowledge of constitutional history, key articles, amendments, and the contributions of constitutional framers. Simultaneously, the poster-making competition gave students a creative platform to express their understanding of constitutional ideals through art and design.
A large number of students from various semesters actively participated in both competitions, showcasing their dedication and passion for the subject. After careful evaluation of the quiz responses and the artistic expressions in the poster competition, the judges declared the winners. The standout performer of the day was Syed Zoofshan Rashid, a student from the 4th semester, who excelled in both competitions and was honored for their outstanding performance.
The event concluded with words of encouragement from the principal, Prof. Safia Khalil, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and congratulated the participants for their zeal and commitment to understanding the constitutional ethos.
This celebration not only enriched students' knowledge but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the Indian Constitution, reinforcing its relevance in contemporary society.
