Observing Chinar Day

On 15 March 2024, GDC PAMPORE observed chinar day by planting chinar saplings in the campus. The event was organised by the department of environmental science in collaboration with wCF. The event started with planting of chinar tree by Prof. Saffiya Khalil, the principal of the college. Later many Chinar trees were planted at different locations in the campus by the faculty and the students. Chinar day is celebrated every year in the college considering the heritage and ecological values of the Chinar tree. The event was coordinated by Dr. Irfan Khursheed Shah
