Celebrations of Teachers Day
Report on Teacher's Day Programme celebrated on 5th September 2024
On the occasion of Teachers' Day, a special program was organized by the Dept of Music in collaboration with the College Cultural Committee on 5th September 2024 under the able guidance of Worthy Principal Prof Saffiya Kahlil, to celebrate the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the future of students. The event was hosted by Insha and Mehak, both from 5th semester, who kept the audience engaged with their charming and articulate anchoring.
Program Overview:
The program commenced with a beautiful rendition of a Group Naat, led by Afreen Bashir from B.Com 5th semester along with other cultural students. Their harmonious voices set a serene and spiritual tone for the event, paying homage to the values of respect and gratitude, essential in both student-teacher relationships and life.
RaziyaMaqbool from B.Com 3rd semester gave an insightful and heartwarming speech on the significance of Teachers' Day. She highlighted the role of teachers in fostering knowledge, character, and resilience among students, and expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all students.
Adding a touch of humor to the program, Maroofa from B.A. 5th semester performed a hilarious mimicry act that had the audience in fits of laughter. Her comedic talent brought a lively and entertaining energy to the event, showcasing her versatility as a performer.
Seerat Ul Nissar from 3rd semester and Seerat from 5th semester gave an electrifying dance performance that captivated the audience. Their graceful movements and vibrant energy added a celebratory spirit to the occasion, bringing everyone to their feet with applause.
The students of Dept of Music performed a traditional rouf and added more colours of enjoyment to the event.
A fun and exciting game of Musical Chair was organized for the students, which turned out to be a highly competitive and entertaining segment. Students eagerly participated, showing their agility and enthusiasm.
Continuing the fun, a round of Musical Chair was also held for the teachers, which brought a sense of camaraderie and enjoyment among the faculty members. The teachers’ competitive spirit was on full display, as they participated with great enthusiasm, much to the delight of the students.The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by student anchors.
The program was documented and guided by Prof. IrtizaWani, Head Dept of Music and convener Collage Cultural Committee who acted as the rapporteur, ensuring that the event ran smoothly and efficiently.
