Celebration of Republic Day 2025

76th Republic Day celebrations held at GDC Pampore

GDC Pampore celebrated the 76th Republic Day of the nation today on 26th January 2025 with much fervour and gusto. The program was organized by Cultural Committee, NSS, Departments of Music and Sports. About 43 staff members and students participated in the republic day function in college campus. The celebrations began with the flag hoisting ceremony. Accompanied by a guard of honour offered by NSS volunteers, the Principal, Prof. Saffiya Khalil hoisted the flag with due ceremony followed by rendition of National Anthem.

Following the flag hoisting the Principal addressed the gathering briefly to extend her wishes on the auspicious occasion. The assembly then dispersed and moved to Department of Music for the cultural events which included a patriotic song by Maroofa, a speech on Republic Day by Insha Shafi, a group song led by Kamran and a solo patriotic song by student Taship Ahmad. A felicitation ceremony was also held on the occasion to recognise and appreciate the students who had participated in various events that were carried out in connection with Republic Day Celebrations 2025. The entire session was moderated by Dr. Parvez Ahmad, HOD Urdu and reported by Dr. Shabir Hussain Lone, HOD Chemistry.  The celebrations infused a feeling of fervour and consciousness of duty towards our constitutional duties in all attendees.
