Department of Education

An Introduction

The Subject Education was introduced in 2017 by the Higher Education Department vide order No. 568-HE of 2017, Dated: 03-10-2017 in Government Degree College Pampore. The department of Education got its inception in the same year. Since its establishment, the department has taken endeavors’ to guide and prepare students for future challenges. The Department of education develops the graduate attributes among students by offering a three year course in subject education consists of six semesters based on choice based credit system. The prime focus of the department is to develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor dimensions of students. To strengthen the psychomotor dimension of students the department of education is giving due consideration to the skill courses. The department of education is teaching the students in tune with the learning outcome based curriculum framework. The department of education is giving small projects to the students to encourage undergraduate research programmes and to develop research aptitudes in them.

To provide healthy academic atmosphere for students that will help them to strengthen their  abilities for widening current knowledge base and skills, gaining new knowledge and skills, undertaking future studies, performing well in a chosen career and playing a constructive role as a responsible citizen in the society.
