An Introduction

Today, Commerce and Business education is the second most attractive degree course after engineering. This is due to the quick placement in the corporate houses and attractive salary obtain by candidates after the completion of this course. In this background, this college introduced the Subject of commerce first time in the year 2018 as a full fledged degree course with the enrollment of Just Six students in B.Com 1st semester which has reached to almost 40 student in the beginning of year 2020. Besides General B.Com Degree course the department is running B.Com Honors Degree course from the year 2020.

The main aim of the department of Commerce is to develop entrepreneurial  Knowledge, Skill and Corporate level attitude among the students.

Teaching Techniques

Lecture Method: Mostly this method of teaching is adopted to teach the Purely theoretical  subjects wherein mostly theoretical aspects are taught.

Demonstration Method: This method of teaching is adopted in case of subjects(Principles of management, Human Resource Management etc.) where some demonstrational technique becomes extremely obligatory. In this method the concerned subject teacher with the involvement of all the students shows some demonstration for the clear understanding of concepts. 

Problem Solving Method: This method of teaching is the most applicable method of teaching in case of commerce and business students where in a teaching organises debates, discussions and some kind of brainstorming sessions with students. Students learn mostly by this kind of method.

Assessment Techniques

Continuous Assessment: Students of B.Com are continuously assessed  with the help of class tests, Quizzes, Assignments,  Mock interviews etc.
